In 2010 we decided to excite young students in building robots. Brainy Bots is geared towards developing skills in programming, building/constructing, and imagination. Working with elementary school students, HorsePOWER 3172 teaches kids how to construct small programmable robots made from NXT Lego kits. There are four Saturday camp days, two in the fall and two in the spring which generally entertain 30 kids each. We want the kids to have fun building robots and working with the high school team. We hope that this will excite them about the possibilities science and engineering hold. We also give them a tour of our Robotics room, showing them a glimpse of how the season goes.
WHEN: April 14 (2018) from 8:30 am - 11:30 am
WHERE: Salina Central Highschool's Cafeteria
Note: Parents may return at 11:15 am for bot showcases.
