 Team Updates - 2019

Week Five Highlights

Build was hard at work testing the pick up mechanism and testing parts. They attached the pick-up mechanism to the robot. Marketing worked on T-shirt designs and programming continued to work out the code.

Week One Highlights

We brainstormed for the game, listing out  the game pieces and analyzing each one. Our game goal is to be able to place and pick up hatch panels, and pick-up and place rubber balls.

Week Four Highlights

We worked on the electronics on the belly plate and created a lifting mechanism for the robot. The marketing team set up fundraising and started working on designs.

Kick Off!!

We began the year with Kick Off! We gathered at Boeing in Kansas City. We watched this year's kickoff on a big screen in one of the conference rooms. Lots of fun for the whole team!

Week Three Highlights

We began making our pick-up mechanism. Programming continues to work hard. The marketing team continued to work on the fundraising and started work on the team handout for competition.

Brainy Bots!

We had one of our annual Brainy Bots meetings. We helped 4th and 5th graders build Lego Robots with the mindstorm kit. We also helped them program their robots to dance and go through a maze.

Week Two Highlights

We finalized the game plan and got to work on our robot. We got the frame built and the motors and wheels reinstalled. Programming got  to work and marketing started to come up with fundraising ideas.

First Meeting of the School Year

We met for the first time this School year, though we are not in-season yet. We began organizing and cleaning our work room as well as solidifying our schedule. As something fun, we decided to display our awards and make a fun display.
